Halloween Goodness
The members of my subscribo-matic group were presented with the above gown, Princess of All Hallows Eve, for the price of just 50L. This gown is a Limited Edition, and after Halloween it will dissapear from the store forever. The good news is, even if you are not a group member, you can still pick it up until November the first.
This also offers a glimpse at a forthcoming release. The ‘Princess’ gowns will be out soon in a variety of colours, so stay tuned!
~Seraph~
It’s been a while, and the pending works in my inventory are begging me for completion. As I try to find time for all of them, I’ve managed to at least get one new one out, Seraph. I’ve elected to keep this post decidedly succinct, and in keeping so, I will skip ahead to the main points of interest in the Seraph gowns.
They are simple, yet elegant creations, each with handsome gold trim (save the black version, which also bears a silver trim option), and they’re only 250L!
More to come soon, lovelies…
~1,000+~
~Rhapsody~
It’s been a while since the last release, my apologies for this. As usual, I’ve been busy. But not too busy to create a new release, and not so busy that I didn’t notice the Subscribo hit over 1,000 members. We still have well over 1,400 people in the old update group, however. Migration is a good idea, as there’s a free gift waiting for you if you do. Both the Subscribo and the old group will still receive the same messages.
Anyways on to the new release. Rhapsody is a gown meant to flow seamlessly between Medieval and more Victorian themes. Available in 11 colours, at both light and dark end of the spectrum there’s something for just about every taste.
There are two skirt styles, and two sleeve styles included. The first skirt is a traditional over/underskirt combo, which looks lush and soft upon sight, and creates a classic ball gown appearance. The second is the more Victorian leaning skirt, which, with it’s lovely bustle and carefully hand-crafted bow trimmings, gives a romantic, elegant feel. The bows on this version of skirt are met with a square cut diamond pin.
Also included, as a bonus, are a matching choker and hair pin. I really enjoyed making these gowns, though I was very pressed for time in doing so. I’d also like to mention that there is indeed a fat pack available, giving you the option to get all eleven shades for just over 25% off the regular price.
In taking the pictures for this post, I ended up travelling to many places on the Grid for those special places…ones that really caught my eye. The majority of them are from New York themed sims (Acropolis and Staten Island), as well as Paris 1900.
I’ll give a bit of info about the Ariel gown in Black in the nest post. Also, I noticed a few people have found my long dormant Twitter, and are following me. If you’d like to follow it now that it’s more active and get real time updates on what’s going on with the store (and myself) you can find it here.
~Lynet Renewed~
The newest release in the Sanctum is actually one of the oldest, completely overhauled and reworked with the textures being modified, and some new textures added, as well as completely new prim work. I present to you, the new incarnation of Lynet.
Lynet in it’s first form was one of the first gowns I’d ever made in SL, and I’ve come such a long way since then, but still loved the original textures from that gown. I decided it was time I breathe new life into the gowns, and these images show some of the result of that.
The Lynet gowns are available in three variations. Lynet itself, is a monochrome gown, available in eight jewel tones, with system top, glitch pants, prim skirt, and prim over skirt included. There are also two ’wench’ variations – something completely different for the Sanctum.
Lynet Wench, includes white flex sleeves, black top and overskirt, with the skirt itself being the element that varies from gown to gown. There are seven different wench gowns, each with a different hue of skirt.
Lynet Wench Deux utilizes a white skirt and white sleeves, with the top and overskirt being the variant. This emulates the under dress/overdress style of Medieval gown, something nice and simple for every day ladies who appreciate comfort.
Take a peek after the jump for a close up of the back of the bodice.
~Tatiana Gowns~
Again on the theme of catching up on new releases, the Tatiana gowns. These are more of a simple, basic Medieval gown, designed to be a more down to earth creation that is more comfortable for every day Medieval role-playing. The Tatiana gown’s hand drawn textures pull this off, without losing any of the delicate, ornate detail found in the belt and trim.
Including both fingerless gloves, and flex sleeves, there are a few ways in which this gown can be worn, as these images help illustrate. Even without the belt, flex sleeves, and gloves, it’s still a lovely and sleek, form fitting piece of beauty.
I created these in darker tones then most of my creations, as I felt a bit of a change of pace was in order. The choice to make the trim be gold was simple, and the below image shows the detail of the prim belt made just for this gown.
~Cyrenia Deux~
It’s been rather hectic for me of late with all thing different projects I’ve been working on, both in and out of SL. With all the posts to do with the photo contest, it’s high time I caught up on posts about the releases, and so to start, the Cyrenia Deux gowns, which were released at the same time as the Ariel gowns.
Both gowns utilize the same gorgeous, flowing skirt with careful, intricate prim work. With layer upon layer of both solid and sheer fabrics, a resplendent cascading bustle, and finished off with sculpted roses, the skirt will catch every eye.
Cyrenia Deux, like her sister gowns, comes in a total of 15 shades, both pastels and jewel tones. The delicate matching circlet veils are also included, and just like the original Cyrenia gowns, they are endowed with gem change capability…simply click to choose from 11 gems, so that your ensemble will match effortlessly with any accessories you choose to have accompany it.
More after the jump, so please click the link to read on!
Photo Contest – Time is Running Out!
Here are some examples of the lovely entries received thus far. If you haven’t entered yet, why wait> Every entrant will be rewarded with the Mayah Tiara as a thank you gift for their participation. The deadline is August 20th.
New Release: Ariel Gowns
Greetings to you, reader! I’m pleased to come to you today with a new release, the Ariel gowns. These are the original gowns that this rose embellished bustle skirt was designed for, though I found the skirt also worked really well with my Cyrenia textures. And so, soon the Cyrenia gowns will all be available in the ‘Special Edition’ package that was featured in the hunt celebrating the Subscribo hitting over 500 members.
The Ariel gowns, in their coloured versions, blend rich tones to create a sumptuous look. Green is tempered with a dusky pink, blue with teal, purple with blue, red with purple, and then there is the simple yet elegant white, the purity of which is maintained as a single white hue adorned with the same gold trim as the others.
The bodice carries a glittering ripple pattern, the central point of which originates on one side of the torso and radiates outward to the other. The delicate golden roses and leaves that adorn the skirt are matched by similar, smaller roses on the armbands.
The full skirt shifts gracefully, each layer in it, and it’s bustle, softly flow with your every move. I returned to Chakryn Forest to produce these images for this post. I was more than happy to return to that glorious forest, and I highly recommend taking some time to visit it.
As you can see, I took a great amount of pictures. I only show a small sampling of those taken, it was impossible to limit my selection to just three or four pictures, and I felt all of the five colour variations deserved to be shown, so I hope that you will enjoy viewing them.
Tomorrow, August 11th, the SeaBreeze Oasis location will be closing, so I can focus on Avilion Vale. I am still in the process of updating ads and organizing the displays in Avilion Vale, it’s starting to shape up very nicely. I also want to give my deep thanks to everyone who’s participated in the Photo Contest thus far, and encourage those who haven’t to take the time to, everyone will go home on the 20th with at least one prize, so give it your best shot!
These gowns can be fond here. I leave you now with a few more pictures, and the ads for the gowns are after the cut.
Subscribe-o-matic and the Special Hunt
In case you haven’t yet heard, there will be a switchover to the new Subscribe-o-matic system that’s not in place in the Sanctum. The transition won’t be immediate, and I want to make it as smooth as possible for everyone. When you click one of the Subscribo kiosks in the Sanctum, you’ll receive this version of the Boleyn Girl gown, a special edit in Caribbean blue. With this system, if you stay subscribed you’ll receive all the benefits of the original group except for a few small things, namely that this won’t take a precious group slot, and a few items in the Secret Chamber still require the original group tag for purchase. In time that will be remedied however, so don’t fret.
In just a few days since the first official in world announcement of this system, over 500 members have subscribed. So, in celebration of this, there’s a little hunt going on right now in which three special editions of the new Cyrenia gown can be found for just 50L each. Those are in the staple colours of Ruby, Snow, and Midnight. Pictured below is the ruby version.
These gowns also include cute sculpty shoes! Be sure to hunt these out while you can, they’ll be released later on with more colours at the regular price. The hunt will take you to all three locations, Avilion Vale, Seabreeze Oasis, and the newest one, Vanity Fayre.
Also, as was mentioned on the note card to the group, the SeaBreeze Oasis location will be closing it’s doors permanently on August 11th so that I can more easily focus on one location: Avilion Vale.
