Nahlayea

November 19, 2009 at 10:53 pm (Kouse Singh, Kouse's Sanctum, New Releases, gowns, jewelry)

Nahlayea - White

Nahlayea began a long time ago as a princess in a story I wrote one year while I was still in high school. In this story, she was an Enchantress, who, after ascending to the role of Queen with her King by her side, found her realm ensnared by a war with a vast army headed by an evil witch. Nahlayea, using every ounce of her spirit and courage, sacrificed her own life to weave a spell powerful enough to overcome this evil, and protect her country. Of all the stories I’ve written over time, the tale of Nahlayea is still one of my favourites, and I thought I would honour this character with a gown named for her.

Nahlayea - Midnight

Nahlayea was a lady of elegance, and so I attempted to capture that with this gown. Silver embroidery upon the hem of the underskirt gives testament to this, as does embroidery matching the gown’s hue upon the bust.

Nahlayea - Lime

The over skirt, fashioned of many light layers of gossamer fabric, ties into a neat knot at the front, creating the illusion of an almost Basque waist. Likewise, similar ties fasten the armbands in place. Both are trimmed with silver cords, a simple and pretty way to finish them off.

Nahlayea - Grape

Below are a few more pictures, I’ll clue up the textual explanation now as images can speak louder and more directly than words ever could. Worn with these gowns is the Themis necklace, also available in store. Also worn is hair from JE*Republic and skin from LAQ.

Princess

Princess Gowns - 1

A new gown that was hinted at with the Halloween limited edition gown has finally arrived in store. The Princess gowns, made of soft fabrics and adorned with silver butterflies, are available now in eight hues, all of which are sure to please.

Princess Gowns - 2

These gowns utilize darker shades, and soft, flowing flex to create a sumptuous, simple, yet royal, feel. They are more of a down to earth style, creating a stylish look without over-embellishing. The soft flex sleeves finish off the look, setting a mood of Medieval romance.

Princess Gowns - 3

The prim skirt consists of an under and over skirt, both together as one attachment. The scattering of silver butterflies along the waist highlight a hint of delicacy and grace.  Among the sims I explored in my search for images for this post, were Avilion, Drowsy, and Dragon Rose Isle. The hair is Moon from Maitreya, and skin from LAQ.

I recommend a visit to Dragon Rose Isle in particular, it’s Gothic inspired Cathedral is simply beautiful. SLURL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dragon%20Rose%20Isle/192/103/43

The members of my subscribo-matic group were presented with the above gown, Princess of All Hallows Eve, for the price of just 50L. This gown is a Limited Edition, and after Halloween it will dissapear from the store forever. The good news is, even if you are not a group member, you can still pick it up until November the first.

This also offers a glimpse at a forthcoming release. The ‘Princess’ gowns will be out soon in a variety of colours, so stay tuned!

Seraph - Black

It’s been a while, and the pending works in my inventory are begging me for completion. As I try to find time for all of them, I’ve managed to at least get one new one out, Seraph. I’ve elected to keep this post decidedly succinct, and in keeping so, I will skip ahead to the main points of interest in the Seraph gowns.

Seraph 3

They are simple, yet elegant creations, each with handsome gold trim (save the black version, which also bears a silver trim option), and they’re only 250L!

More to come soon, lovelies…

Rhapsody - 1

It’s been a while since the last release, my apologies for this. As usual, I’ve been busy. But not too busy to create a new release, and not so busy that I didn’t notice the Subscribo hit over 1,000 members. We still have well over 1,400 people in the old update group, however. Migration is a good idea, as there’s a free gift waiting for you if you do. Both the Subscribo and the old group will still receive the same messages.

Rhapsody - 4

Anyways on to the new release. Rhapsody is a gown meant to flow seamlessly between Medieval and more Victorian themes. Available in 11 colours, at both light and dark end of the spectrum there’s something for just about every taste.

Rhapsody - 2

There are two skirt styles, and two sleeve styles included. The first skirt is a traditional over/underskirt combo, which looks lush and soft upon sight, and creates a classic ball gown appearance. The second is the more Victorian leaning skirt, which, with it’s lovely bustle and carefully hand-crafted bow trimmings, gives a romantic, elegant feel. The bows on this version of skirt are met with a square cut diamond pin.

Rhapsody - 5

Also included, as a bonus, are a matching choker and hair pin. I really enjoyed making these gowns, though I was very pressed for time in doing so. I’d also like to mention that there is indeed a fat pack available, giving you the option to get all eleven shades for just over 25% off the regular price.

Rhapsody - 6

In taking the pictures for this post, I ended up travelling to many places on the Grid for those special places…ones that really caught my eye. The majority of them are from New York themed sims (Acropolis and Staten Island), as well as Paris 1900.

Rhapsody - 3

I’ll give a bit of info about the Ariel gown in Black in the nest post. Also, I noticed a few people have found my long dormant Twitter, and are following me. If you’d like to follow it now that it’s more active and get real time updates on what’s going on with the store (and myself) you can find it here.

~Lynet Renewed~

August 25, 2009 at 8:41 pm (Kouse Singh, Kouse's Sanctum, New Releases, SL, Second Life, gowns)

Lynet 5

The newest release in the Sanctum is actually one of the oldest, completely overhauled and reworked with the textures being modified, and some new textures added, as well as completely new prim work. I present to you, the new incarnation of Lynet.

Lynet 3

Lynet in it’s first form was one of the first gowns I’d ever made in SL, and I’ve come such a long way since then, but still loved the original textures from that gown. I decided it was time I breathe new life into the gowns, and these images show some of the result of that.

Lynet 1

The Lynet gowns are available in three variations. Lynet itself, is a monochrome gown, available in eight jewel tones, with system top, glitch pants, prim skirt, and prim over skirt included. There are also two ’wench’ variations – something completely different for the Sanctum.

Lynet 2

Lynet Wench, includes white flex sleeves, black top and overskirt, with the skirt itself being the element that varies from gown to gown. There are seven different wench gowns, each with a different hue of skirt.

Lynet Wench 1

Lynet Wench Deux utilizes a white skirt and white sleeves, with the top and overskirt being the variant. This emulates the under dress/overdress style of Medieval gown, something nice and simple for every day ladies who appreciate comfort.

~Tatiana Gowns~

August 25, 2009 at 8:19 pm (Kouse Singh, Kouse's Sanctum, New Releases, SL, Second Life, gowns)

Tatiana 1

Again on the theme of catching up on new releases, the Tatiana gowns. These are more of a simple, basic Medieval gown, designed to be a more down to earth creation that is more comfortable for every day Medieval role-playing. The Tatiana gown’s hand drawn textures pull this off, without losing any of the delicate, ornate detail found in the belt and trim.

Tatiana 3

Including both fingerless gloves, and flex sleeves, there are a few ways in which this gown can be worn, as these images help illustrate. Even without the belt, flex sleeves, and gloves, it’s still a lovely and sleek, form fitting piece of beauty.

Tatiana 2

I created these in darker tones then most of my creations, as I felt a bit of a change of pace was in order. The choice to make the trim be gold was simple, and the below image shows the detail of the prim belt made just for this gown.

Cyrenia Deux 6

It’s been rather hectic for me of late with all thing different projects I’ve been working on, both in and out of SL. With all the posts to do with the photo contest, it’s high time I caught up on posts about the releases, and so to start, the Cyrenia Deux gowns, which were released at the same time as the Ariel gowns.

Cyrenia Deux 5

Both gowns utilize the same gorgeous, flowing skirt with careful, intricate prim work. With layer upon layer of both solid and sheer fabrics, a resplendent cascading bustle, and finished off with sculpted roses, the skirt will catch every eye.

Cyrenia Deux 3

Cyrenia Deux, like her sister gowns, comes in a total of 15 shades, both pastels and jewel tones. The delicate matching circlet veils are also included, and just like the original Cyrenia gowns, they are endowed with gem change capability…simply click to choose from 11 gems, so that your ensemble will match effortlessly with any accessories you choose to have accompany it.

More after the jump, so please click the link to read on!
